David Slater, CFA

Bio

David joined Leith Wheeler in September 2015 from Mackenzie Cundill where he worked for the previous eight years, most recently as Director of Research and Lead Portfolio Manager for several of Cundill’s strategies. Prior to Cundill, David spent six years with Belkorp Capital Management and three years with Toronto Dominion Asset Management. As a U.S. equity analyst, David is responsible for researching small- and mid-cap companies, and for co-managing the Leith Wheeler US Small/Mid-Cap Equity Fund. David is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, and went on to earn his MBA at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. David is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charterholder.
