Jon Palfrey joined Leith Wheeler in November 1996. He is the head of Private Client and Foundations and a member of the firm’s Management Committee.
Jon is a graduate of University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a member of CFA Vancouver and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Additionally, Jon sits on and advises a number of boards in the non-profit community.
Prior to joining Leith Wheeler, Marcela spent 12 years at Bank of America in Capital Markets and Cash Management. She studied economics for two years at Queens University and received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. She holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), she is a member of CFA Vancouver and the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver.
Andrew Hoffman joined Leith Wheeler in January 2007 after 14 years with TD Bank. He is responsible for the discretionary management of both Private and Institutional clients, including Foundations and First Nations. Andrew graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Economics and Wilfrid Laurier University with a diploma in Business Administration. Andrew is a member of CFA Vancouver and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is also personally involved with several boards in the not-for-profit community and is a partner of NATOA (National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association).
Jerry recently joined Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel to expand the practice in Alberta and is based in Calgary. His skill set includes an excellent understanding of capital markets and personalized wealth management and estate planning experience. He is responsible for providing investment management services for private clients and charitable foundations.
His career in the financial services field began in 1993 and he has worked for a major Canadian and global financial institution on the brokerage and investment counseling side. Most recently Jerry was a Portfolio Manager with a national investment counsel firm in Calgary prior to its acquisition by a major Canadian bank. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2000 and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. Jerry is involved in numerous community organizations and served on the Calgary Society of Financial Analyst's board for two years
Prior to joining Leith Wheeler August 1st 2011, Mike was an investment partner, responsible for equity investment analysis and portfolio management, at a Vancouver-based investment management firm for 8 years. Prior to this, he was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Toronto, Dublin, Riyadh and Vancouver offices. Mike is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He earned an Honors BA with distinction from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario and is a member of CFA Vancouver. Michael is also an active member of the Vancouver community, volunteering his time and energy with Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Dunbar Soccer and Kerrisdale Little League.
Patti recently joined Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel to expand the practice in Alberta and is based in Calgary. She is responsible for the discretionary investment management of Private Client and Foundation portfolios. Prior to joining Leith Wheeler, Patti spent nine years with a wealth management firm in Calgary as a Portfolio Manager. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge through teaching investment courses for women and young adults and is involved with many sporting activities at the Glencoe Club.
Karey joined Leith Wheeler in March of 2006 as an Investment Funds Advisor after nine years with Phillips, Hager & North in Vancouver and Calgary. Karey provides investment advice to individual investors and discretionary portfolio management for Private Clients.
Karey has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of British Columbia, holds the CFP designation and has completed Levels 1 and 2 of the CFA program.
Michael joined Leith Wheeler in September 2007 after graduating from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. While at Dalhousie, Michael majored in finance and completed co-op placements in equity research and investment banking at a major Canadian bank. Michael provides investment advice to individual investors. Michael is a member of CFA Vancouver and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Marie joined Leith Wheeler in 2002 as an assistant in the Trading department and transitioned to the Private Client group in 2003. Marie has completed the Canadian Securities course through the Canadian Securities Institute.
Dianne joined Leith Wheeler in February 2007, after 12 years with TD Waterhouse in their investment counselling division and TD Canada Trust. Dianne holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Jennifer joined Leith Wheeler in June 2011 as an Administrative Assistant in the Investment Funds department.
