Job Description:

The primary role of the Investment Associate is to provide support to a team of Portfolio Managers and work alongside other Associates. The Associate role plays a critical function in providing a variety of portfolio information to institutional clients, consultants, and other service providers. The nature of the information provided requires a person with impeccable attention to detail, and strong analytical and communication skills. The Associate will also coordinate responses to cash flow requests coming from clients, consultants, and custodians. This involves validating requests, seeking allocations from Portfolio Managers, and coordinating execution with various internal parties.

Duties will include: 

  • Coordinating and responding to cash flow requests (validating requests, seeking allocations from Portfolio Managers, and coordinating execution with internal parties)
  • Assisting with quarterly report generation, including verifying and analysing performance results, tailoring reports to meet client needs, and creating customized content
  • Performance verification and analysis
  • Responding to information requests from portfolio managers, clients, consultants, and other service providers
  • Preparing presentation material for clients
  • Completing prospective client proposals (RFPs)
  • Assisting with various projects around the firm 

Job Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar
  • CFA charter or candidate in the CFA program
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Computer skills: proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Ability to work flexible hours
