Segregated Funds Administrator

Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd. Is an employee-owned firm, headquartered in Vancouver with offices in Calgary and Toronto. We manage over $21 billion of assets on behalf of pension, foundation, corporate, Aboriginal, and individual clients across Canada.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual, passionate about financial services, experienced in securities settlements and investment management back-office administration for the Segregated Funds Administrator role.

Job Description:

  • Daily reconciliation/post portfolio transactions via Advent APX – REX - (cash withdrawals, deposits, US Dividends, fees)
  • Maintain accurate and proper reconciliations for custodian accounts: daily/monthly/quarterly
  • Backup daily Money Market forecast and other custodial accounts
  • Client/internal reporting (monthly reconciliations)
  • Ad hoc account detail reporting to PMs
  • Provide back-up to team, including workflow filling in for a colleague in their absence
  • Maintain organized records and filing, assist with trading settlements
  • Assist other administrators, and support ad hoc administrative duties, as required

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience with settlement of securities
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and The Conduct & Practice handbook are an asset
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to liaise effectively with employees and clients
  • Ability to perform with high level of accuracy and attention to detail even under pressure • Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
