Marketing Coordinator

Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd. is an employee-owned firm based in Vancouver, with additional offices in Toronto and Calgary. We manage ~$30 billion of assets on behalf of pension, foundation, corporate, Indigenous, and individual clients across Canada and are offering the right candidate an opportunity to join our firm.

We are looking for a resourceful Marketing Coordinator with a unique mix of skills in event planning, sponsorship, social media, digital, and email marketing. You understand the value of working as part of a team, bringing ideas to life, and pulling together to get things done.

This role is ideal for an early-career marketing professional eager to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing functions. You’ll get to work on a steady stream of different projects and interact with professionals in all corners and levels of the firm. As we are 100% employee-owned, the opportunity also exists to become an owner of the firm. It’s a great gig, working with great people. Are you great, too?

We’re a growing firm, now one of the largest independent money managers in Canada, and we’re investing in people like you to help tell our story. Our brand, Quiet Money, reflects our culture: we don’t do a lot of hand-waving (or any sleight of hand). We’re straight shooters with a singular focus on taking care of our clients. Integrity matters here, and matters to you, too.

Diversity and Inclusion: Diversity is an important value to us. We are committed to providing equal opportunities in employment and to providing a workplace which is free from discrimination and harassment. This means that all job applicants and employees will receive equal treatment regardless of race, colour, ethnic or national origins, sex, marital status, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, or belief.

  • Website: Support website updates and projects in conjunction with our tech teams and external vendors
  • Design: Assist in producing engaging marketing materials, including print and online advertisement, brochures, publications, and videos
  • Other: Generate reporting, manage branded assets, and contribute to content strategy

Job Qualifications:

  • You’re organized! And skilled at keeping processes and deadlines on track when relying on multiple (also busy) stakeholders and changing priorities
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, grammar, and verbal communication across multiple formats
  • Experience planning events for 10 to 100 people
  • Experience using any email marketing platform (no specific tool required) with knowledge of structure, workflows, and engagement best practices
  • Experience managing social media channels with knowledge of content planning, engagement, and platform best practices
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for design and brand consistency

Attributes for Success

  • Experience with graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. Bonus points: Premiere Pro)
  • Familiarity with marketing metrics and comfortable aggregating and transforming data into actionable insights
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO best practices
  • Knowledge of or experience in the following is a differentiator:
