WEBINAR: Home Country Bias
As clients have moved to increase their allocations to global equities and alternative assets in recent years, the question of whether to persist with recommending a Canadian home country bias in asset mix is a salient one.
We revisited and revamped our 2021 analysis on Home Country Bias, walking through how Canadian equity allocations have influenced portfolio risk and return characteristics and why Canada continues to present compelling opportunities today. It’s a timely discussion given the current uncertainty surrounding the US administration and the increasing concentration risk in global markets.
As always, we bring the bottom-up view and highlight the value of maintaining a material exposure to best-in-class businesses from right here in Canada.
